Prompt Guidelines

Purpose

Prompts should aim to assist legal professionals in harnessing the capabilities of generative AI in their work. They should, where possible, be easily reproducible.

Required & Optional Information

Every prompt must have:

  • A title
  • The prompt text
  • A quick summary of what the prompt does

You can optionally add:

  • A more detailed explanation or guidance on how to use the prompt
  • Topic, Practice Area, Jurisdiction, and Platform tags as described below

Tags

When adding prompts, relate them to the most suitable Topics, Practice Areas, Jurisdictions, and Platforms.

You can add as many relevant topic tags to a prompt as you like.

Optional but recommended for practice specific prompts.

Only select if the prompt is specific to a jurisdiction.

Select if a prompt works particularly well on 1 platform (eg. ChatGPT).

Adding accurate information ensures a wider reach and better visibility on our platform.

Format and Structure

Prompts should be direct and effective so that they can be copied easily to prompt a generative model without additional background or context.

Ensure that variable fields, such as "Supplier" or "Claimant", are enclosed in square brackets like [Supplier], [Claimant]. This design allows users to modify them as needed.

Length

While there's no strict word limit, aim for specificity. The intent is to steer clear of overly brief or generic prompts, ensuring utility and relevance.

Content Limitations

Confidential or copyrighted content, harmful language, professional advice, or anything promoting illegal activities is strictly prohibited. Please read our User Terms for further details.

Originality

Prompts should be original. Copying already posted prompts could lead to their removal.

Languages

While prompts in all languages are welcome, English prompts might reach a wider audience as our site is currently only available in English.

Removal

We don't actively audit content posted on this site. However, we do reserve the right to remove prompts if they don't meet these guidelines and especially where they breach our User Terms.
